Maybe because Italy is a neighbour country to us, maybe because there are direct flights from Greece to any major Italian city, or due to the very cheap airfares, I can't remember anymore how many times I have visited Italy. Nevertheless, I do remember very well those places that I liked most and which you should definitely visit.
Whether you
are going to get on a long-haul flight or planning a city break, one of the
most common problems one faces is what it should take with him. And although
clothes and shoes are the ones we care most about, there are some other things
that if we have them with us, especially during a flight, they will make our
trip even more enjoyable.
Whether you
are one of those who adore Christmas, whether you belong to those who feel a
bit melancholic and perhaps depressed in Christmas, in case you find yourself
in Germany these days you will discover the true magic of Christmas.
Salzburg is
by far the most musical city in Europe with tourists flocking to thousands to
get to know Mozart's city and admire the beautiful landscapes where the Sound
of Mousic was shot. The truth, however, is that there are far more reasons to
visit this fabled city on the border of Austria with Bavaria.
Even if you
have never visited Ayia Napa, in Cyprus you have certainly heard a lot about
its lively nightlife and its enchanting beaches. We decided to visit it for the
second one, and it turned out we were absolutely right, as some of the most
beautiful beaches on the island can be found around Ayia Napa.
The city of Paphos is one of the most popular
destinations not only in Cyprus but in the entire Mediterranean. For 2017,
Paphos is Europe's Cultural Capital, and so those who have visited it this year
or intend to do so will have the opportunity to attend some of the very
interesting cultural events taking place in the area.
When I was
planning my trip to Cyprus, I spent a lot of time searching the best area to
stay in Paphos. I usually prefer hotels located in the city center, since I
like to be able to walk to the most important sights. This time, however,
things were a little different, since we would have had a car and on the other
hand more than half of the sights I had on my schedule were outside the city of
Paphos.
If you have read my article about Limassol you
already know how much I liked this city. But what you don't know yet is what
made our stay there even more perfect. So I will tell you the following three
words: Kitonas Junior Apartments.
Now that our road trip to Cyprus has come to end and having visited most of the island, I can say for sure that Limassol is the most beautiful city in Cyprus. Maybe it's the unique way in which it combines the past with today, the life-bustling streets with the beautiful restaurants and bars located next to monuments built hundend of years ago. Maybe are the colorful graffitis that give life to narrow cobbled streets that seem forgotten in time. Maybe is the beautiful coastal pedestrian street that would envy many cities in the world.
The beaches of Pelion are known not only in
Greece, but throughout the world for their deep crystal clear waters, the white
pebbles and the dense vegetation that becomes one with the sea.
White pebbles mixed with golden sand, turquoise
deep water, trees that reaches up to the point where the wave pops, rocks
sculptured ornately by the winds and the waves. This is Mylopotamos, the most
famous and perhaps the most beautiful beach in Pelion.
There are
very few places in Greece that combine both mountain and sea ideally like
Pelion. If you've already been in an autumn mood and looking for a place for
your first autumn or winter escape, or even if the summer is not yet over for
you, the village of Tsagarada in Pelion, is the perfect destination for your
next trip. Having just returned from a beautiful three-day trip to Tsagarada
(see more about my trip to Tsagarada here!), it' s time to suggest the ideal
hotel that will make your holidays even more beautiful.
Tsagarada is one of the most popular villages
in Pelion. It is located 50 kilometers away from the city of Volos in central
Greece and is situated at an altitude of 500 meters above the sea level. I have
crossed several times the village of Tsagarada, always on my way to Milopotamos
beach. And the truth is that I never really liked this village, maybe because
it does not really looks like a common greek village, as it consists of 4
districts, which could be considered as four different villages. Being the most
sparsely populated village of Pelion, it isn't easy forTsagarada to impress the
visitor looking for a small, picturesque village.
In our days postcards have given their place to Instagram. And it's no longer necessary for us to visit a place to have the ability to look back at photos in our effort to escape for a while from everyday life. All we need is an Instagram account.
My trip to
Kastoria was a last minute decision. I do not know if it is happening to you,
but somewhere in the end of August, I'm a bit tired of summer photos, I don't
want to spend me weekend on the beach again, I miss my fluffy sweaters... As
the weekend was really close and I was in need of an excursion, the city of
Kastoria was the first destination that came to my mind (read more about my trip to Kastoria here).
It's only a few days that we returned from the
city of Kastoria and as I look at the photos, I wonder why I haven't visited
this city until today.. And is not that I hadn't thought about or that I
didn't have a chance, but knowing only little about this city (actually these
two - that is surrounded by a beautiful lake and its residents deal mostly with
fur), there was always a destination that fascinated me most and I was always
postponed this trip for another time ..
There are
some places that you fall in love with at first sight. This exactly happened
between me and Genoa and I had already figured it out when I got out of the
train station. Or rather, to be precise, I realized it a few minutes later when
instead of taking the first bus or taxi passing by (as I usually do after the
fatigue of the trip) I started walking to the destination of my Airbnb home. It
was this fantastic charm of another era, the streets full of people and these
tiny shops with the smell of fresh baked focaccia that made me forget about any
fatigue and want to live every single moment.
For many
Paris, is synonymous with honeymoon, the Eiffel Tower, Disneyland and expensive
boutiques. On the other hand, when I think of Paris, I feel my stomach churning
as I think of fluffy buttery croissants, hot thick chocolate, juicy veal steaks
and so much more ...
There are
many places in Europe that are ideal for spending a perfect weekend and
Budapest is definitely one of them. Budapest is the city with the historic
cafes, the yellow trams, the cobbled narrow streets that boast freshly baked
strudel and the oldest metro in Europe.
There are
few countries in the world whose history and culture can be compared to that of
Greece. It is not surprising that there are innumerable, great historical
monuments and archaeological sites from the smallest to the largest city of
this country. But between all these sites with big cultural heritage, there are
18 who stand out. They are the 18 Greek UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
“In Life, It’s Not Where You Go, It’s Who You Travel With” – Charles Schulz
I've been
traveling for 7 years with the same guy. My life partner. And I will tell you
something ... There are countries, towns, beaches, shops and even football
games that would never be my first (or my tenth) choice if I was traveling
alone. But for good luck I do not travel alone. Because all the magic in traveling
with your partner is to go to places, do things, taste dishes that you will not
even know that you may like it if there was not this person to convince you of
it. Traveling with your mate can teach you a lot about yourself, your partner
and your relationship. And that's why I'll give you 10 reasons to travel with
your partner.
There are
some people who think Hawaii is overvalued. There are some who consider Hawaii
extremely expensive. There are some who do not even know where Hawaii is
located. Do you know what they all have in common? They make a huge mistake!
Because Hawaii, with its 8 beautiful, tropical islands, is the living proof
that there is MAGIC!
I honestly
can't imagine how it would be our life without internet. Some of you have lived
it, and maybe some would think it would be better, but I can not even think of
it.
And would you tell me ... is Krakow a fairy tale city? I will not lie to you, nor did I know, nor even suspect this side of the city until I saw it with my eyes. Because until you go to Krakow the only things you know about the city is that it is the second largest city in Poland and that Auschwitz concentration camps are nearby.
There are literally thousands of things to see and do in Paris. So many museums, sights, neighborhoods and shops! Only for the Louvre, they say that someone needs over 100 days to see all of his exhibits.
Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia and the only capital in the world that borders two countries, as the city extends to the borders with Austria to the west and Hungary to the south.
What makes the experience of a meal so unique?
Surely what comes first in everyone's mind is food. But since a good meal may
not be enough to create an unforgettable memory, some restaurants have thought
of combining excellent food with a different environment. These are the 10 most
impressive restaurants in the world.
Napoleon once said that if the whole world was
a country, Istanbul would be the capital. And though I can not know what
Napoleon saw in this city hundreds of years ago, and what exactly he had in
mind, I would somehow agree with him.
How many things could someone find on a small island? In this specific island in the Indian Ocean which looks like a tear droping from India you can find everything.
Spain, apart from
Madrid, Barcelona, tapas and football is also famous for its beaches. Best
beach in Europe for 2017, according to Traveler's Choice Awards, is Spanish.
I love markets and I love street food as well!
I really enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, the colors and the different smells. I
like so much to walk between stalls, to photograph and to taste all those
delightful, and often strange products.
With less than 2 million inhabitants, built on the
banks of the Danube, Vienna is perhaps the most prestigious capital of the
world.
It's Saturday, and
one of the things I think about every Saturday is Sunday's breakfast.
Nutritionists say that breakfast is the most important meal.
It's been about a month since I returned from Munich
and it's time to talk to you about Bavaria's capital and Germany's third
largest city.
Brussels is a
city that everyone has heard about because it is Europe's administrative
center, but few are those who know something more about it and even fewer those
who would put it on the list of their next destinations!
I do not know if
there is a Greek who has not heard the phrase "Like Halkidiki
nowhere", but I can say that there is no one who has passed from Halkidiki
and did not agree!
Milan is an
industrial, gray, prima facie city, which is undoubtedly the economic center of
the country.
When you choose to spend
your holiday in a beach or mountain, there are certainly many things you can do without any cost...
