Even if you
have never visited Ayia Napa, in Cyprus you have certainly heard a lot about
its lively nightlife and its enchanting beaches. We decided to visit it for the
second one, and it turned out we were absolutely right, as some of the most
beautiful beaches on the island can be found around Ayia Napa.
Although we were mostly interested in the beaches, we wanted to get a good taste of the city and so we chose to stay right in the center of Ayia Napa. So we chose Napian Suites for two reasons, first of all for their beautiful, modern and spacious suites and secondly for their amazing location.
Location
NapianSuites are literally in the heart of Ayia Napa, on Makarios Avenue, one of the
city's most central streets. If you go to Ayia Napa for its nightlife, then I
could not imagine a better location to stay. On Makarios Avenue and Nissi
Avenue, adjacent to Napian Suites, are gathered the city's best bars and
restaurants.
But even if you are not interested in the nightlife, the location
remains ideal since all the major sights of the city, such as Ayia Napa
Monastery, the main square and the Grecian beach are only a few meters away
from the hotel. Love Bridge and Sculpture Park are just two kilometers away.
Very close to Ayia Napa are also some of the most beautiful beaches of Cyprus
such as Konnos, Fig Tree Bay and the Nissi beach. The nearest airport is
Larnaca Airport, which is approximately 35 km away.
First
impressions
We arrived
at Napian Suites at noon after a busy and very hot day but nevertheless from
the moment we stepped in the reception our mood changed immediately. The hotel
staff is extremely friendly and always smiling, with good knowledge of the area
and interesting tips while check-in was done within a minute. And things got
even better when we walked into our suite. It was a huge, bright apartment that
I was really struggling to set aside a few hours later to explore the city. The
most amazing surprise, however, was a bottle of red Cypriot wine (I have already
talked about how excellent the wines of Cyprus are, here) which was waiting for
us in our lovely dining room.
The Suites
When you
stay at Napian Suites the only thing that reminds you that you are in a hotel
is the reception room. The suites are so well designed and equipped that they
really make you feel at home. They are luxurious and at the same time
comfortable, modern, but also very cosy. The things I loved in our apartment
were the huge super comfortable bed, the floor-to-ceiling windows and of course
the lovely balcony overlooking the sea and the city's main street. Despite the
central location of the hotel, there was quiet in the room as the insulation
was good enough, and there was no sound of the adjoining suites.
Facilities
Although
the Napian Suites have no swimming pool, all hotel guests have free access to
the swimming pool and fitness center of the Melpo Antia Hotel, which is located
just 150 meters away from the Napian Suites. This hotel features a large
swimming pool, an outdoor Jacuzzi, as well as a swimming pool specially
designed for children, and also has a very good pool bar, the cocktails of
which are really great. Napian Suites guests can also visit the Moroccan Spa,
which is housed in the same building as the hotel, and enjoy a relaxing massage
(with extra charge). The hotel also has private parking at no extra charge.
